The 2019/2020 CHINESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP-YOUTH OF EXCELLENCE SCHEME OF CHINA is the highest and most generous Chinese government scholarship. Since 2014, the East China University of Political Sciences and Law (ECUPL) offers the LL.M. Program in International Economic Law, an English-taught law program sponsored by this scholarship targeting at fostering high-level legal talents.
Once successfully admitted into the program, the students will enjoy:

-living allowance approx. US$1300 per month
-Reimbursement of economy class flight ticket

This LL.M. Program was initiated by the Ministry of Education of China to help realize Chinese government’s commitment to fostering talents in 2014. The Ministry of Education has selected 7 top universities in China, including ECUPL, to hold programs in different areas, so that the students can benefit from the specialty of the university. Also, through the project, the students can grow social network and pool together their resources and intellect to make continuous contribution to their field of study. Against this background, ECUPL undertakes to hold the LL.M. Program in International Economic Law taught in English. In the one-year Master-level program, the students will be able to learn from the top-level professors and experts in ECUPL, one of China’s top law schools, and to broaden their horizon by living in the international metropolis of Shanghai. There will be numerous practice opportunities, enabling the students to better understand the status quo and development trend of China's economic law.
The ECUPL has been authorized by the Ministry of Education to recommend candidates that:
1. By September 1, 2019, should be under the age of 45 years old.
2. Have bachelor’s degree or above.
3. Have more than three years working experience in relative fields;
4. A minimum score of IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL(iBT) 80 is required for admission consideration.
5. Senior staff of government agencies or other organizations; faculty or researcher of universities or other institutions; legal professionals.

The final enrollment decision will be made by the Enrolment Committee organized by the Ministry of Education of China. Therefore, please understand that although ECUPL can recommend candidates that will enjoy priority during the selection, the Enrolment Committee has the final say.
